WRITING RULES

  • The language of the papers can be either Turkısh or English.
  • Presentations must be scientific, original and not previously published.
  • Abstracts should include a clear identification of the study, with at least 150 words and not more than 300 words.
  • Abstracts or Full-text Manuscripts sent after the deadlines will not be evaluated.
  • Manuscripts should not exceed 15 pages, inclusive of the abstract, tables, references.
  • Manuscripts should begin with a concise Abstract both in Turkish and English. “Introduction” section should include the aim, scope, related approaches in the literature and the method of this study.  Similarly, it should finalize with a “Conclusion” section with an evaluation of the findings.
  • Manuscripts are written on A4 size sheets with page margins of 2.5 cm from the top and the bottom, 2 cm from the right and the left, 1 cm for the top and 0.4 cm for the bottom headers.
  • Main Text and Abstracts should be 11-pt, Footnote and References are 10-pt with the Times New Roman font type and 1.5 spacing. Second line margins for Paragraphs and Bibliography should be 1.25 cm.
  • At least 3 and at most 5 keywords in English should be provided.
  • Turkish title of the manuscript should be capitalized. The first letter of the English Title, Abstract, Keywords should be in capital.
  • Tables, figures, photographs, graphics and drawings should be numbered. The first letters of their titles should be capitalized. Words of explanations and titles should be 10-pt.
  • Block quotations exceeding three lines in the text should be in quotations mark in italic and 10 pt., with line margins of 1.25cm from the left and 0.5cm from the right.
  • APA and MLA style could be used for the Reference list, Footnote style in the manuscripts submitted. Papers not written according to these writing rules will not be published even if the abstracts have been accepted.
  • Authors are responsible for everything related to their presentations.

ORAL PRESENTATION RULES

  • Presentations should be realized by the corresponding author specified in the Abstract.
  • Each participant can have maximum two presentations.
  • Scientific work not presented orally will not be published in Symposium Book.
  • Authors will be given 10 minutes for the oral presentation and 5 minutes for the discussion, thus 15 minutes in total for their presentations.
  • Main part of the oral presentation should involve findings, conclusion and discussion, after a brief and rapid introduction of the aim, material and methods parts.
  • Presentations should be made in accordance with the symposium programme chart.
  • Presentation files should preferably be prepared in “ppt or pptx” format and the digital copy should be delivered to the responsible person of the session at least 20 minutes before the start of the session and checked that it works.

POSTER PRESENTATION RULES

  • Poster size should be 70 cm x 100 cm  
  • Page margins should be 2.5cm from the left, right, top and bottom.  
  • It is suggested to place the title and the logo of the Symposium in the upper left corner of the poster; the name and the logo of the presenter’s university in the upper right corner of the poster.  
  • Poster title should be written in bold, 48 pt with Arial font type (make sure the poster name does not exceed two lines)  
  • The name(s) of the Author(s) be written in bold, 36 pt with Arial font type. 
  • The address(es) of the Author(s) should be written in 36pt with Arial font type.  
  • Text Headings should be written in bold, 24 pt with Arial font type. 
  • Text should be written 24 pt with Arial font type.
